Annual report about Portugal (2020) – Asylum Information Database<\/h3>\n

Recently, the new Asylum Information Database<\/a> annual report about Portugal has been published, written by the Portuguese Refugee Council (CPR). CRESCER has been actively and systematically contributing for this report over the last years. The publication portrays the country in terms of refugees, migrants and asylum seekers.<\/p>\n

The year of 2020, lived in a pandemic context, was particularly challenging for this population.<\/p>\n

CRESCER reported having been approached by a growing number of applicants for and beneficiaries of nternational protection due to the lack of adequate accommodation in 2020. It was also reported observing an increase of applicants for\/beneficiaries of international protection requesting assistance due to a significant increase of unemployment.<\/p>\n
