É UM CONGRESSO, Housing First & Harm Reduction

Following the celebration of the 22nd anniversary of CRESCER and the 10th anniversary of the project É UMA CASA, Lisbon Housing First, we organized, in November 2023, the first edition of É UM CONGRESSO, Housing First & Harm Reduction, at Nova SBE.

The event brought together over one hundred speakers and moderators from around the world, including renowned experts in their fields, academics, policymakers, representatives of civil society, social solidarity organizations, activists, companies, foundations, and students.

We welcomed more than 300 participants, who over the two days of the Congress attended lectures and workshops on Housing First, harm reduction, future policy, corporate social responsibility, prevention, peer work, street teams, trauma, and many other topics.

We now intend to make this a biennial event, with the next edition scheduled for November 6 and 7, 2025, at the Calouste Gulbenkian Foundation. As in the first edition, the 2nd É UM CONGRESSO will be preceded by field visits on November 5, during which participants will have the opportunity to learn more about CRESCER’s projects.
