Municipal Unit for Employment and Autonomy

The Municipal Unit for Employment and Autonomy Project aims to integrate individuals who are homeless into housing situations while they are employed or in paid training. The project has 15 places and seeks to promote the autonomy of participants and ensure their transition to independent housing alternatives, with support from a technical team over a 6-month period. During this time, participants will develop skills in economic management, workplace inclusion, household management, and engagement with social and health services—skills essential for their autonomy.

Eligibility Criteria

  • Be homeless (without a roof or home);
  • Be 18 years of age or older;
  • Be self-sufficient for basic life functions;
  • Express a clear willingness to be admitted and agree to the operational rules of the Municipal Unit for Employment and Autonomy, participate in the development of an individual development plan, and accept the supervision provided by the project’s reference technician;
